My Reflections

1.       Name at least 5 skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.

·         Creative- the teacher must be creative in constructing a bulletin board so that it can catch the attention of the target.

·         Immovable- whatever the features of bulletin board it will reflect to whom who made    (experiences ,and evidences) so the content must be realistic.

·         Artistic- teacher should be artistic enough in the sense of putting color and arranging arts she desired to put in.

·         Knowledgeable- she must be knowledgeable enough about the topic.

·         Reflective- can contrast or look to the future effect to everyone about the content.

2.    Which of the skills you named in # 1 do you already have? Recall your past experiences in making board displays. How do you practice this skills?

I think, I possess already being creative and artistic….

But I should have to try always making or constructing an effective and informative board display.

3.       Which skills do you still need to develop? What concrete steps will you take on how you can improve on or acquire these skills.

I still need to develop being creative and artistic…..I believe that, practice makes even better..I should need more time and effort to develop skills and discover another strategies and techniques to have more effective board displays.

Description of the bulletin Board lay-out	Well constructed, easy access to the individual. It calls the attention to everybody to get involve.	If it is not maintained clean and legible to everybody that bulletin will be useless. And it will not function to its target.
Evaluation of educational content. And other aspects:	The content of this bulletin board shows that it is good being think for others and think less for yourself. Share and it will come back to you hundred folds. Since sharing is loving. It even touches the three domains which cognitive, affective, psychomotor. Cognitive being thinking for other, affective the sense of helping through volunteerism, psychomotor because it exerts effort.	If everyone does not response with the content of this bulletin

My Analysis

Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target audience?

Why? Why not? Yes, the board display design reflect the likes or interest of its target because it is eyes friendly the arrangement of its information are well organize according to their means and functions. We will get interested by the attitude of these board because you can find there the evidence or on how these program works, how they reach those people who are the recipient of this program they also indicate their different activity with connection to their topic Community Action for Responsive Extension Services.

Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand?

Why? Why not? Yes the language used is clear and easy to understand to the targets, reader friendly you don’t need to use for dictionary to look for what does that board says…and for putting there the pictures regarding the activity its more likely to understand to everyone.

What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it effective?

Why? Why not?

For me, and for the information I got there where I conducted my observation, the school really wanted to include one of their programs to extend hand to the community, to get involve what the  needs of the community. And it makes my heart bursting that some schools organizing this kind of program to train our students or learners to share to others every blessing we have. With this I believe that we will still have the hope of country, “think less for self think big for others” even if it start with little things it means a lot to whom touch and reach for it. It is more than effective because the purpose that board really function well.

MY ANALYSIS

Were the resources/materials arranged properly according to their functions and characteristics?

Yes, during my observation I saw the materials are well-arranged. In their library(book) the books are well-organize and it is arrange according to their functions, even if it is a surprise visit for us as observer but as I witnessed it seems that they are always prepared for the visitors all the time. Books also arrange from new edition to old one, the shelves and books are free from dust.

Do the guidelines & procedures facilitate easy access to the materials by the teacher? Why? Why not?

Yes, because the teacher deliver the procedure well and sometimes it is demonstrate to let the learners understand and will know how to operate that certain material. And we observed that before the activity or laboratory will start it is required to read first the guidelines and procedure by their learners.

What are the strengths of this learning resource center?

I believe that the strength of this learning resource center is when their student and teacher will follow all the procedure that is required in using these different materials so they could use it in the long period of time.

What are its weaknesses?

Of course the weaknesses, if it is not use according to their functions, it might become useless, there is no justice having all these materials and it is not use for the good of learning.

What suggestions can you make?

All students from elementary to college must be familiarize the different learning materials especially in technology for them to really have knowledge about the functions and its usefulness. Because some school just put their materials there just like a display and they never let their student having hands on.

MY REFLECTIONS

1) Which of the materials in the learning resources center caught your interest the most? Why?

What caught my interest most in their learning resource center is the mass communication room/laboratory, because I really admire those who have a profession as “Mass Com’s”. And I am so curious about their trainings, and learning.

2) Which gadgets/materials are you already confident to use/operate?

· The books

· Computer

· And some instrument in their music room

3) Which ones do you feel you need to learn more about?

          I feel to learn more about the functions of technology in learning and teaching                         process and in mass communication.
